Dear CME Members, Missionaries and Friends:
Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ!
The Women's Missionary Council of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church honors the legacy of Dr. Dorothy I. Height, the chair and president emerita of the National Council of Negro Women, and her many contributions to the civil rights movement.

Dr. Height was a woman of great dignity and a leader of an "organization of organizations." The Women's Missionary Council of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church is an Affiliate Organization of the National Council of Negro Women.

We mourn the passing of Dr. Height who was such an outstanding woman of God. Dr. Height served as a moral conscience for this nation speaking for those who had no voice. She shall be greatly missed!
