Dear Christian Brothers and Sisters,

 

The Connectional Young Adult Ministry of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church is hosting the Annual FOCUS (Fulfilling Our Calling United in Service) Retreat, May 22-24, 2009, in the beautiful city of Louisville, Kentucky.  I would like to extend a personal invitation to each of you, asking you to join young adults from this great Zion in a quest to grow in leadership, and most important, spiritually.

 

As stated by renowned motivator Ralph Marston, "True leadership is not embodied in a position or title. True leadership arises from an exemplary life of making positive, valuable contributions that inspire others to do the same."  This event purposes to equip young adults with the skills and motivation needed to be such leaders.

The theme/focus of the Retreat is “Serving the Present Age through Spiritual Development and Leadership!”  There will be workshops dealing with topics such as: Love & Relationships, International Missions, Financial Management, Living Single & Saved, How to Engage Young Adults in Your Local Church, etc.
